Community Guidelines
Last updated October 6, 2026
§ 1Be who you say you are
Use your real name and accurate bar admissions. Keep your profile current, and update it if your license status changes. Never create an account for someone else.
§ 2Protect client confidences
Describe matters generically in posts: practice area, forum, stage and what you need. Don’t name clients or opposing parties, and don’t include facts that could identify them. Share details privately, after both of you have checked for conflicts.
§ 3Follow your rules
Fee divisions, referral arrangements, multijurisdictional work and supervision are governed by the rules where you practice. Put arrangements in writing and get client consent where the rules require it. Colawborate isn’t a party to any arrangement.
§ 4Post real opportunities
Posts should describe genuine work, roles, matters or collaborations. Don’t post general advertising, products or services unrelated to legal work, or the same post over and over.
§ 5Keep it professional
Treat other members as you would opposing counsel you respect. Harassment, discrimination, threats and abusive language aren’t allowed in posts, profiles or messages.
§ 6Respect members' information
Contact details on profiles are shared for collaboration. Don’t export them, add members to mailing lists, or share their information outside Colawborate without their permission.
§ 7Report problems
Use the Report link on any profile, post or conversation, or write to support@colawborate.com. Reports are confidential. We review every one.
§ 8What happens when guidelines are broken
Depending on what happened, we may remove a post, ask you to fix your profile, suspend your account, or close it. Serious misconduct, such as impersonating an attorney, leads to immediate removal.
